The XYZ Chair was created in collaboration with Structural Aspect, a studio that works with clear construction logic and thoughtful simplicity. The design builds on their XYZ Stool and reimagines it using twelve millimetre plywood offcuts from Volta’s battery shipping crates.

These crates are made from dense hardwood plywood that resists fire and moisture, which gives the material remarkable durability. By reusing these sheets, the XYZ Chair gains both strength and a long life while showing how industrial leftovers can become precise and functional furniture.
