These pieces carry the strength and character of their industrial past and are reworked into a bench for sitting, waiting or placing objects. By turning the galvanised panels so the smooth surface faces upward, the bench becomes comfortable and its name gains a simple truth. Smooth side up and the tougher side beneath, it offers a sturdy place to pause.
